Self-Esteem Therapy Glasgow

Having a healthy self-esteem is about experiencing a realistic, positive and balanced perspective about ourselves. We can estimate what our self-esteem is by  understanding  how we acknowledge ,appreciate and  value all of who we essentially are.

If our self-esteem is too low or too high it can negatively impact our lives. However, if our Self esteem  is good enough and relatively robust it can provide us with  a foundation which can sustain us to best experience life’s ups and downs.

Feeling not good enough, withdrawing from relationships and activities, feeling like an outsider / fake, people pleasing or just feeling continually under par can be some of the effects of having a poor self-esteem. These effects  can be less than satisfactory and for some distressing, and may lead to  more serious  mental health conditions if left unattended.

Once we are in a good place, we can safeguard our sense of worth, feeling basically good about who we are in spite of our challenges and achievements.

By using approaches like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Hypnotherapy etc. to identify and  tackle the underlying causes and effects  of a poor self-esteem, negative beliefs, thoughts, feelings and behaviours can be changed for better.
